Lucy Guglielmino, Ed.D. is a professor of adult education at Florida Atlantic
University, where she teaches graduate courses for adult and community education and human
resource development professionals. Since developing the Self-Directed Learning Readiness
Scale in 1977, she has been actively involved in consultation and continued research on
self-directed learning. She was recognized at the Fifth International Symposium on Adult
Self-Directed Learning for "superior contributions to research in self-directed
learning."
