Ian MacDonald is a freelance development consultant who is based in Hungary. From his Budapest office, Ian advises some of Central Europe's leading companies on human resource and organization development issues. Since first arriving in Hungary in 1991, Ian has helped to establish the distribution of HRDQ materials in the region, led numerous Hungarian delegations to the ASTD Annual Conference and Exposition and he has tutored on behalf of the Open Business School (UK), helping hundreds of local students to obtain professional qualifications in business administration. Ian has previously held positions with Alexander Proudfoot International Plc, an international management consulting firm, and with Shin-Etsu Handotai, the world's largest manufacturer of silicon products. Ian received his MSc. in Training and Performance Management from Leicester University in the UK.
