Charles C. Manz, Ph.D. is professor of management at Arizona State University. An author, private consultant, and speaker, he received the prestigious Marvin Bower Fellowship at the Harvard Business School in 1988-89 for "the outstanding quality and quantity of his published work" in the area of self-managing work teams and employee self-leadership. Dr. Manz is author of Mastering Self-Leadership: Empowering Yourself for Personal Excellence. He is co-author of SuperLeadership: Leading Others to Lead Themselves, Company of Heroes, and For Team Members Only: Making Your Workplace Team Productive and Hassle-Free. Dr. Manz is author of several books and many articles on the topic of self-leadership and self-managed work teams, including Business without Bosses, co-authored with Dr. Henry P. Sims, Jr.
