Having trouble adding
items
to the HRDQ.COM Shopping Cart?
Some users are experiencing "lost items" in their shopping carts.
The most likely cause of this error is your browser's ability to accept
"cookies." Your browser must be set to accept
"cookies" in order to shop with HRDQ. If you have recently upgraded to Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 6, the cookie function may be disabled by your default security
profile.
Help for Users of Microsoft Internet Explorer
6:
Microsoft's new Internet Explorer version 6 allows for more end-user control of cookies, along with other privacy settings. Unfortunately,
the common default setting (privacy = medium or above) effectively disables the ability of the
HRDQ shopping cart system to keep track of items. This will produce
the error message: "Your shopping cart is currently empty" after attempting to add an item.
Follow these steps to enable the
HRDQ shopping cart:
From the Microsoft Internet Explorer
6.x menu bar:
- Select TOOLS.
- Select INTERNET OPTIONS.
- Click the PRIVACY tab.
- From the "Web Sites"
section, click the EDIT button.
- The "Per Site Privacy
Actions" window will popup.
- In the "Address of Web
site:" field, type "hrdqonline.com"
(without quotes).
- Select ALLOW.
- Select OK.
- Select OK again to
close the final window.
The change should be effective
immediately and you should be able to proceed with your order. If
you still experience problems, try closing and re-opening the
Microsoft Internet Explorer browser application. If this fails, you
may have other issues with your security settings beyond your
control. Contact your IT department for assistance.
