Participants
Take Center Stage
at Open Enrollment Sessions
KING OF PRUSSIA, PA (August 23,
2005) -- Skill practice, hands-on games, and self-assessments are
set to engage attendees this fall at HRDQ’s Open
Enrollment Program and Certification Sessions. The training events,
spanning September through December, will feature two
newly improved programs -- LeadingSuccessTM
and NegotiatingSuccessTM -- both
designed to personally involve participants in learning, helping
them to better retain new concepts and skills.
“Experiential learning is what HRDQ is all about,” said
Gary Turner, HRDQ Master Trainer. “Those who come to the sessions
can expect a fun, interactive, and potentially
life-changing experience.”
Turner recalled comments from previous HRDQ program training
sessions.
“One participant -- a CEO from a major drilling
corporation -- had an epiphany at one point during LeadingSuccess.
In learning about Maslow’s needs hierarchy as it
pertained to company relocations, he remembered that he
been treated insensitively in a previous job,” said Turner. “But he
also realized he was unwittingly doing the same thing in
his current post.” “A participant in another session -- a senior
manager at a large U.S. food producer -- said, ‘This makes it
clear how to start communicating in a whole new way.’ ”
Turner also quoted a director at a major corporation. “At the end of
LeadingSuccess he said, ‘In my 30 years in the industry,
this was the best leadership program I ever attended. It’s opened my
eyes in ways other programs have never been able to do.’
”
All HRDQ Program and Certification Open Enrollment Sessions will
include comprehensive materials, as well as breakfast, lunch, and
refreshments each day. Participants who stay for certification will receive
two additional days of training in the applicable
program, including intensive review, coaching, and facilitation
skill practice. Upon completion, they will own a turnkey
learning experience to add to their organizations’ training
curriculums.
“When you join us here, you’re going to feel right at home. There
will be plenty of opportunity to network with other trainers and
business professionals. And HRDQ staff members will be on hand
to answer questions and provide product information,”
added Turner.
Offered September 26-30 and December 12-16, LeadingSuccess, formerly
entitled Supervising by Design®, is a long-running
program that builds the people skills managers need to
get results -- the foundation of leadership. The fall
session for NegotiatingSuccess (previously known as Negotiating by
Design®) will take place on October 25-28. The program is
a powerful how-to for individuals at any organizational
level who want to achieve positive outcomes and preserve valuable
business relationships.
