Press Release for:
HRDQ Style Series
Improved “Style”
Tools Help Build Better Relationships in the Workplace
HRDQ presents the
revised and expanded Style Series™, a collection of six learning
instruments and a card game that help individuals identify a personal
style and master interaction with other styles. The series allows both
the facilitator and the participants to apply the well-known
personality theories of psychologists Carl Jung and William Marston to
key functions such as communication, time management, leadership, and
more.
“The Style Series continues to be one of our best-selling product
lines and we believe we know why,” said Bradford Glaser, HRDQ
President and CEO. “Along with being based on well-established
personality theories, it’s a practical set of tools that’s easy to use
and understand.”
“Now we’ve made the Style Series even more useful to our customers,”
Glaser continued. “Trainers will find major improvements to the
series’ Facilitator Guides. First, we converted the bound booklet to a
more convenient, easy-to-use-and-store binder format, then we added a
copy of the Participant Guide, optional activities, and a CD-ROM with
a complete Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation and handy reproducible
masters.”
With sessions that take as little as an hour, the Style Series has
remained popular with trainers and organizations since What’s My
Style? was first published in 1994. Wells Fargo is one of various
companies that has chosen one or more of the instruments for its
employee training.
“What’s My Style? is a great exercise to help team members understand
one another’s
differences and preferences,” said Diane Houdek, Learning and
Development Manager at Wells Fargo. “This insight and knowledge is
very powerful in learning how to best interact with each other and set
expectations accordingly. This awareness will help our team work
productively and positively.”
All of the instruments, as well as StylePlay – 12 Group Card Games,
are based on the concept that our personal style affects our behavior
— thus it influences the way we communicate, learn, manage our time,
and coach/lead others. The Facilitator Guides for all six Style Series
learning instruments feature administrative and scoring guidelines and
background theory. The What’s My Style? and What’s My Communication
Style? Facilitator Guides also include preparation checklists and
step-by-step workshop instructions. A starter kit is available for
each instrument that includes the Facilitator Guide and 5 Participant
Guides (the What’s My Coaching Style? Starter Kit also provides 5
feedback forms). The StylePlay game reinforces the learning achieved
by the instruments, offering fast, energizing card games to groups of
12 participants.
The Style Series is available exclusively from HRDQ. If you wish to
