Project Leadership Assessment Sample Items

Twenty-five items are presented for rating on a five-point scale. Individuals respond how they perceive their interpersonal skills as project leaders. The following is a sampling of items taken from each of the five skill areas:

SA = Strongly Agree
A = Agree
N = Neither agree or disagree
D = Disagree
SD = Strongly Disagree
 
1. Listen to understand rather than to evaluate.
2. Praise individual and team accomplishments
3. Attempt to negotiate mutually beneficial arrangements with others
4. Take steps to proactively address issues before they get out of hand
5. Check regularly to ensure that the project’s purpose and scope is understood
